Privacy Policy for Cashback Boost

Overview

Cashback Boost ("the App") helps you track credit card cashback rates and find the best card for each purchase. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is used.

Data We Collect

Custom card submissions When you add a custom card using the "New issuer" / "New Card" flow, we collect:

The card name, issuer name, base cashback rate, and any bonus categories you entered A device identifier generated by Android (Application.getAndroidId()), used to associate submissions from the same device This data is sent to our servers. We use it to review community-submitted cards and, where appropriate, add them to the main app catalog.

Apply link clicks When you tap a link to apply for a credit card, we log that a link was opened. This helps us understand which cards users find useful.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, or any account credentials
We do not collect financial account information or card numbers
We do not track your location
We do not use advertising networks or sell your data to third parties

Data Storage

Card and bonus data you set up in the app is stored locally on your device using SQLite. The App periodically downloads updated card and bonus rate information from our servers to keep rates current; this download does not send any personal data.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or social login services.

Data Retention

Device-linked card submissions are retained on our servers for as long as they are useful for catalog review.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
